Mary Pack Arthritis Program - Travelling Occupational Therapy Clinics

Travelling occupational therapy (OT) clinics are offered in various cities.
Services
The occupational therapist can assist a person with arthritis who may be having difficulty managing daily activities. The therapist may help by educating patients about strategies for managing fatigue and improving sleep, using joints wisely to minimize pain or manage activities and recommending adaptive aids. The therapist can also make custom splints or orthotics or suggest off-the-shelf alternatives.
Referrals
A doctor’s referral is needed for patients who want an appointment with the Travelling Occupational Therapist. Referrals can be faxed to 604-875-4321.

The Traveling Occupational Therapy services visit the following communities annually or semi-annually (spring and/or fall):
  • Interior/Cariboo – Merritt, Lillooet, Williams Lake, Lytton.
  • North – Quesnel, Hazelton, Smithers, Terrace, Haida Gwaii.
  • Mid Coast – Bella Bella, Bella Coola
