Vancouver Hospice Society (VHS Hospice) - End of Life Care

Provided by Vancouver Coastal Health

Provides a home-like atmosphere for patients who require nursing, medical and emotional care at the end of life.
Offers an 8-bed hospice and a skilled team of doctors, nurses, care aides, counsellors and admin staff that provides 24-hour compassionate end-of-life care.

Others services Includes:
Counselling Services: Provides support for individuals and families and assist them with accessing resources, exploring challenging emotional issues, and providing grief and bereavement support for family members following the death of a loved one. Bereavement support groups are also scheduled throughout the year. Sessions and groups are facilitated by clinical counsellors.

Volunteer Support: Provides a team of trained hospice volunteers to provide companionship and bereavement support to patients and families in the hospice, and in the community. Other volunteer support includes Healing Touch, Compass Chorus, and Quilt Angels.

Referrals for hospice care can be made through the Palliative Access Line (PAL). To book a tour of the hospice, please contact the Clinical Coordinator. Please find contact information below.
