Thrive Family Programs

Provided by Family Services of the North Shore

Offers free, drop-in programs where families with young children can enjoy child-led activities with other families and caregivers.
The program helps children get a healthy start in life in a safe, fun and child-focused environment. Parents and caregivers have access to resources, referrals, parenting education and support from a community health nurse, infant development consultant, or counsellors.

The following is a summary of Thrive Family Programs now being offered:

Thrive Parent-Child Mother Goose: An engaging group experience where parents and their young children can share rhymes, stories, and songs designed to foster parent-child connections and positive early experiences with language and music.

Thrive Breastfeeding and Postpartum Support: Drop in for social connection, information, consultation, and support in an empowering atmosphere.

Thrive One-to-One Parent Support: Additional parenting support is available on a one-to-one basis and led by a family support navigator. To contact the navigator, please see the contact information below.

Thrive Pancakes and Play for Dads and Male Caregivers: Dads and male caregivers are always welcome at all Thrive Family Programs, but we know sometimes dads need different support and can benefit from connecting with each other. If you are a dad living on the North Shore with young children, please drop in to Pancakes and Play to learn, play, and connect with your children and other dads or male caregivers.
