Youth and Pregnancy Parenting Program - Robert and Lily Lee Family Community Health Centre

A free service supporting pregnant Vancouver youth (24 and under) and their babies.
Prenatal nutrition counselling, social support and group education are provided by a support worker, dietitian and public health nurse.

Healthiest Babies Possible (HBP) is a pregnancy outreach program for women living in Vancouver/Richmond who are facing challenging life circumstances. HBP provides nutrition counselling, health education, food access and social supports. The HBP staff includes support workers, dietitians, nurse and a social worker who are fluent in a variety of different languages.

Youth Pregnancy and Parenting Program (for youth 24 and under) offers a maternity clinic for youth living in Vancouver and who are facing multiple barriers.

Our Services:
  • Nutrition counseling with a Dietitian during pregnancy
  • One-to-one support with housing, finances and other social challenges with a Support Worker
  • Weekly prenatal education group with a Public Health Nurse and Youth Support Worker
  • Youth focused parent infant drop-in groups until baby is 18 months old
  • Free hot lunches provided at groups
  • Food skills cooking classes and demonstrations
  • Counseling with a Youth Counselor
  • Clothing and food donations

  • Low Income Clients may also receive:
  • Grocery gift cards
  • Free dental hygiene visit
  • Transit tickets
  • Free prenatal vitamins for mom
  • Vitamin D drops for babies

  • Physicians may access the medical clinic for maternity care with a nurse practitioner and physicians that deliver at BC Women's Hospital.

    Prenatal classes are offered for all parent types. We also offer Indigenous, Spanish, South Asian and Youth specific parenting classes.

    This clinic has physicians, nurse practitioners, youth counselors, and prenatal educators.

    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and Thursday: 9:15 AM - 5:00 PM. The YPPP Clinic is open Monday and Thursdays ONLY, times vary, contact clinic directly.

    Service is available in Arabic, Cantonese, English, French, Gujarati, Hindi, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish, and Urdu.
