Youth Mental Wellness Counselling - South Vancouver Youth Centre

Provided by Vancouver Coastal Health

Provides community-based mental health services to children and youth (aged 12-18) with serious mental health difficulties or social, emotional, or behaviour disturbances.
Mental health teams provide psychosocial evaluation and assessment, counselling services, transitional mental health services (for older-aged youth), and consultation and education to individuals and the community about mental illness.

Also provides non-therapeutic support services (such as information and referral, education on mental health issues, and supportive group counselling) to the youth, service providers, and the families of youth with mental health needs.

Services are offered in English, with access to interpreters through Provincial Language Services.

Eligibility: Services provided for youth aged 12 - 18 years.
