Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Program - Vancouver

This program is designed to help develop positive parenting practices and behavioral management strategies for children who have been recently diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). For families in Vancouver with children aged 3-15.
The Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Program helps parents by providing:
  • Effective communication strategies
  • Behaviour management strategies
  • Stress and anger management strategies
  • Problem-solving and coping skills
  • Esteem building skills
  • Information on medications
  • Consultations with other healthcare professionals
  • Community presentations
Education sessions: The family-based services include group education sessions for parents about the neurobiology and characteristics of ADHD. We also offer individual/family consultations for families who are enrolled in the education sessions.

ADHA Program – Child & Youth Mental Health (CYMH) School-based Hub: School-based workshops are also available to school staff in Vancouver upon request.

A referral is required.

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Evening hours vary.

Eligibility: ​Children aged 3 - 15 with a primary diagnosis of ADHD living in the city of Vancouver
